To fill out our application, you will need to know the following:

• Home address history for the past 3 years
• Current driver's license number and driver's license history for the past 3 years
• Employment history up to 10 years
• History of traffic accidents, violations, and/or convictions from the last 3 years (including DUI or reckless driving conviction and license suspension)
• Military history (if applicable)

Dry Van, Flatbed, Heavy Haul, Conestoga, and Crewmember

Home time is based on what, and where you are driving. We have driver positions that accommodate the following home time schedule:

• Home Daily
• Home Weekends
• Home Every Other Weekend
• Home Every 3-4 Weekends.

 

Percentage (Flatbed, Stepdeck, Conestoga)

Base Pay: 29% of GROSS Line Haul *30% if you have a passport, and endorsements of TWIC, HAZMAT, and TANKER

• Receive 100% of any tarping and chaining fees
• 1 year of recent flatbed experience required
• $800 orientation pay, along with travel expenses covered

 

Mileage (Van)

Base Pay: Starting at $0.75/mile

*ALL practical miles loaded or not

• $800 orientation pay, along with travel expenses covered
• TEAM drivers welcome @ 29% of GROSS line haul

 

Heavy Haul

Base Pay: Salary plus Assignment Pay

• 1 year of recent heavy haul experience required
• $800 orientation pay, along with travel expenses covered
• 4-Axle tractor drivers are salary-based (Must have experience)

 

Crew Member - Levels 1-3

(Level assigned Based on Experience)

Level 1 Pay: Salary Plus Assignment Pay

• Driving experience
• CDL Class B
• Qualifications:
  • Willing to travel up to 6 weeks at a time
  • Willing to learn
  • Some escort experience
  • Good work history

Level 2 Pay: Salary Plus Assignment Pay

• Driving experience with tractor-trailer
• CDL Class A
• Qualifications:
  • Willing to travel up to 6 weeks at a time
  • Willing to learn
  • Driving experience with tractor-trailer
  • Some escort experience
  • Good work history

Level 3 Pay: Salary Plus Assignment Pay

• Driving experience with tractor-trailer
• CDL Class A
• Qualifications:
  • Willing to travel up to 6 weeks at a time
  • Willing to learn
  • Driving experience with tractor-trailer
  • Escort / Tillerman experience
  • Good work history

 

Want to work for Buchanan? Here is what you need...

1. At least 2 years of verifiable experience with a class A CDL
2. No DOT-preventable accidents within the last 36 months
3. No more than 6 employers within the last 36 months
4. No more than 1 speeding ticket within the last 36 months
5. No cell phone violations within the last 36 months

*Guaranteed pay starts the week following orientation. To be eligible, drivers must be available 5.5 days per week and not turn down assigned loads.

If you're a hazmat company driver you'll need...

1. 2 years of verifiable experience with a class A CDL
2. Must currently hold your HazMat and Tanker endorsements
3. Must have a valid and current TWIC card and Passport
